29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD. 30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him. 31 But Moses called to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and he spoke to them. 32 Afterward all the Israelites came near him, and he gave them all the commands the LORD had given him on Mount Sinai.
33 When Moses finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face. 34 But whenever he entered the LORD’s presence to speak with him, he removed the veil until he came out. And when he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded, 35 they saw that his face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.
Moses' face was changed and became radiant as he had been with the Lord for a prolonged period of time. In fact, his face actually reflected the glory of the Lord. But when he spoke to the Israelites, he put a veil on his face that the people could not see the radiant light of his face. We today may not be able to see the Lord face to face again like Moses did on the Mount Sinai. But in the New Testament's time, We believers, through the Holy Spirit, can gaze at the face of Jesus Christ who dwells in our hearts. As we enter into the most secret place of our inner soul, we can meet with our Lord Jesus Christ, gazing at His beauty and subsequently reflecting His glory on our face. Believers in the New Testament's time can all be transformed in our life as we allow Christ's life to dwell in us and Christ's glory to shine on our face.
My dear Master Jesus, You are the Light and Glory of God. As I enter into the most secret room of my inner soul, gazing on Your beauty and holiness daily, transform me to be like You from inside out. Draw me to enter into Your Presence and Love as You manifest Yourself in all circumstances I encounter in the present and future journey of my life.
