13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Paul describes the change of a believer's life once he/she believes in the gospel of Christ. We are now in Christ because the Holy Spirit seals us that we belong to Christ and have a new identity in Christ forever. The Holy Spirit also acts as a deposit in us that we are God's possessions or inheritance that awaits for God's final redemption. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as we believe in the gospel, we receive a new identity in Christ (the Holy Spirit seals us) and we also become God's inheritance (the Holy Spirit is the deposit) that we today live a Spirit-filled life on earth.

My Holy Spirit, continue to guide me into this truth that I am in Christ, this personal as well as the corporate identity in His church, and I am God's inheritance that I belong to God forever. God owns me and I have God's all abundance as well. My Holy Spirit, lead me to enjoy my God as my Heavenly Father and be in Christ everyday.
