23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.It

It's so amazing that our God is called "the God of Peace" - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who is the source of peace and also the source of holiness for us believers. He promises to sanctify us wholly including our spirit, our soul, and our body. This is a great promise that not just restricts to our status before Him - righteousness, but more than that, our whole Christian life is sanctified, including our thoughts, our words, and our deeds. Christian life is a life of pilgrimage but also a life of sanctification, progressively and sometimes radically being transformed to be like Christ - our perfect human example of holiness. This is the calling of every Christian as we are called to be holy. This becomes our life's most significant life purpose that requires our most diligent effort to achieve everyday. But this is also our most earnest desire as that will be the most glorious destiny of our life. God is faithful. He is the source of holiness and He is able to do it.

My Lord! As I focus my eyes on your sanctifying work in my spirit, my soul, my body - my whole self - everyday, I can fix my eyes again on the spiritual goal of my life, just like Apostle Paul, that we strive to know Christ and to be like Him. My Spirit, I continue to ask for your presence in my life today - as I meet with persons, carry out my works, and ponder on my life, may you actively speak to me and accompany me in all times.
