18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. 20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. Paul refers "talk" to those arrogant words, not the truth of the gospel. He emphasizes the reality of power in the ministry of the kingdom of God. This power is understood to be related to the manifestation of the Spirit in Paul's ministry life - including signs and wonders, people being convicted by the Spirit and their subsequent living out of joy, love, hope, etc. in the midst of persecutions, and also his personal sufferings in being the Christ's apostle.

My Spirit, only through Your Presence and Power can we manifest the reality of kingdom of God in this secular world. I pray that we hunger for your manifestation in our lives through earnest prayers to you. Our life will certainly face risks, crisis, oppositions from people and especially from the Satan, inner struggle of the flesh with the Spirit, but this is also the time to experience the manifestation of the Spirit's presence and power in the weakness of our lives.
