God's Gift - A Life of Liberation and Holiness

February 7, 2013 - Romans 6:22-23

6:22		但 現 今 你 們 既 從 罪 裡 得 了 釋 放 、 作 了 　 神 的 奴 僕 、 就 有 成 聖 的 果 子 、 那 結 局 就 是 永 生 。
6:23		因 為 罪 的 工 價 乃 是 死 ． 惟 有 　 神 的 恩 賜 、 在 我 們 的 主 基 督 耶 穌 裡 、 乃 是 永 生 。

²² But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. ²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Good morning! My Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. Your grace is like the morning sunshine that brings warmth and light in my heart again after the dark night. I praise you that I have been set free from my sin - the old power of bonding me to commit acts in the past that you were displeased but more importantly the old power of forcing myself to do things in order to please the world and others. But thanks for your gift again that Your Spirit through the cross of Jesus brings me eternal life - that is an eternal status of righteousness but also a liberation from the old power of sin that I am your beloved son unconditionally. I can be in your presence with full approval not because I am perfect and without blemish but due to your love and work that has been revealed in Jesus Christ to me by the Spirit. Now, liberation that frees from sin and sanctification that brings to holiness can go hand in hand in my life. 

I know that the enemy Satan tries to keep me again in bondage to my sin and old habitual thought and default behavior that brings me death and separation from the love of God. But dear Holy Spirit, keep me into the truth that I have been liberated by God's Grace and Love in Jesus Christ in order to live a care-free and holy life that reflects Your unconditional love in me.
